20 Most Amazing Cafes & Restaurants in Bir Billing (Updated 2026)
Bir(बीड़) or, as I also like to call it, “home”(my favorite place in India). It is the paragliding capital of Asia and the second-highest paragliding site in the world. While Bir became famous for paragliding, I have always loved Bir because of the people I met there and how calm the place is!
What makes Bir special is also the fact that you can find any cuisine there, whether it is local Himachali Dham, Siddu, Tibetan cuisine, South Indian, Biryani, or even a Neopolitan Pizza.
In this blog, I take you through some of my favorite cafes and restaurants across Bir, but this is not all of the list, because Bir has close to 50+ spots to eat. Although the list is in no order, the first three places are my favorites, and I’ve visited them the most.
PS: This list is curated after staying in Bir for more than 3 months over 3 different trips
1. Silver Lining

A trip to Bir is incomplete if you have not visited Silver Lining, and especially during the summer, you can’t miss this place. They are famous for their banoffee and mangoffee pie. Trust me when I say that during the summer, mangoffee goes out of stock within the first few hours of opening.
Apart from mangoffee, scrambled eggs were my go-to breakfast. This has to be the best cafe in Bir, both for the food and the ambiance.
Price for two: ₹300 – ₹600
Location: Bir Colony Rd, Suja
Things to try at Silver Lining: Mangoffee/Banoffee, Scrambled Eggs, Pancakes, Pasta, Peri-Peri fries
Timings: 9 am – 6:30 pm (Closed on Wednesday)
Pet friendly: Yes
2. Bhoomi Cafe

On my last visit to Bir, Bhoomi cafe became my go-to breakfast spot. For everyone who is a vegan, Bhoomi Cafe has a great list of vegan and gluten-free dishes. The cafe has both indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the Chokling Monastery. Their coffee and cakes are to die for, and the cafe is run by women. Bhoomi Cafe is usually my go-to spot to work from(even though they strictly say no to work calls), and don’t miss their sodas and bibimbap with kimchi.
Price for two: ₹300 – ₹500
Location: Bir Colony, Chaugan(Near Chokling Monastery)
Things to try at Bhoomi Cafe: My fav Turkish eggs for breakfast, Bibimbap with kimchi, Cakes, and coffee
Timings: 9 am – 5 pm(Closed on Monday)
3. Soul Kadi

This has to be the best find on my last visit to Bir. It is so hidden that no one would expect such a scenic-looking cafe to exist in that part of Bir. The ambience is amazing, and during the evenings, you can also see people paragliding from the cafe. Coming to the food, as soon as you enter, you are served with a shot of soul kadi. It was my first time trying it here, and the only word that can explain how I felt after having it would be foodgasm. They serve authentic Maharashtrian food, and there is not one thing that I didn’t like here.
I guess you would see me say this often, but again, the owners are a lovely couple just spreading joy by providing such delicious food.
Just on my last visit in Dec of 25, while I was sitting at the top eagerly waiting to devour the Vada Pav, an eagle out of nowhere came and pounced on the Vada Pav, so guys beware, whoever is sitting at the top.
Price for two: ₹300 – ₹500
Location: Bir Colony Road, Suja, (Go until the dead-end on the road adjacent to Ankit Cafe)
Things to try at Soul Kadi: Soul Kadi, Thalipeeth, Kadhi Chawal, Misal Pav
Timings: 9 am – 7:30 pm (Closed on Thursday)
Pet friendly: Yes
4. Cloud Door

Another hidden spot at the corner of Chougan Chowk, if you have to try the best biryani in Bir, you have to visit here. I don’t think there’s anyone else serving as good a biryani in Bir. If you love seafood(fish), you should try the trout here. But their sandwiches are also really amazing especiallly the Mushroom Mozarella Olives or Salami Mozarella Olives.
There might be a wait time as the service is a little slow.
Price for two: ₹400 – ₹600
Location: Sukhbag – Chaugan Rd, Chaugan
Things to try at Cafe Cloud Door: Biryani, Sandwiches, Mushroom cheese Omelette and Pizza.
Timings: 9 am – 10 pm (Closed on Wednesday)
Pet friendly: Yes
5. The Pizza Sessions

I got to know about this Pizza place from Abhiandnow’s Instagram post, and luckily, just then I was visiting the place. Before I tell you how good the pizzas are, this is the best place to have pizza in Bir, and the cafe is in Upper Bir. So I got to visit this place only once, and I fell in love with their Neopolitan pizzas, it was delicious and hands down one of the best I have eaten in India(No exaggeration). Everything that they serve is so fresh, also tried their sourdough toast, which was also really delicious.
Price for two: ₹800 – ₹1000
Location: Upper Bir behind Bir Paragliding Institute
Things to try at the Pizza Session: Pizza, Garlic Bread, Open Toast(Literally everything).
Timings: 12 pm – 8 pm (Closed on Tuesday)
Pet friendly: Yes
6. Her Cafe

Now, during all my previous visits to Bir, I have always heard great things about the Her cafe from everyone, and just because it was a little away on the way to Bangoru falls, I couldn’t visit there. On my last trip, I finally got a chance to visit and try their Dham(Kangri), and it was worth all the praise. The cafe is run by local women, and they serve delicious local Himachali food.
Price for two: ₹400 – ₹600
Location: Gunehr, Bir
Things to try at Her Cafe: Kangri Dham, Rajma Chawal, Siddu.
Timings: 9 am – 6 pm (Closed on Wednesday)
7. Tenzin Jamdol Cafe

Next on this list is Tenzin Jamdol Cafe; this place is so underrated and not visited by a lot of people. But during my last visit to Bir, I went there almost every other day. If you’re looking for authentic Tibetan food, this should be your go-to spot in Bir. From momo to thukpa to laphing, everything here tastes so good. If you are a vegetarian, you don’t have to worry as they have many vegetarian options. Try their Shamu datse(cheese and mushroom) with tingmo bread and thank me later. Don’t miss the non-alcoholic apple beer.
And the owners are so warm, you will find Dai(Owner) always smiling. Go there for the food but also for the vibe they create! Service might be a little slow, considering they make everything fresh.
Price for two: ₹200 – ₹400
Location: Bir Colony near the Kangra Central Bank Circle
Things to try at Tenzin Jamdol Cafe: Chicken Thukpa, Momo, Shamu Datse, Tingmo, Apple Cider Beer.
Timings: 10 am – 10:30 pm
Special Tip: Ask for Kothey Momo and thank me later!
Other Tibetan food places to try in Bir
- Emaho: They serve good momo and thukpa and are just opposite to Tenzin.
- Laphing Corner: This has been my favorite momo and laphing place from my recent trip. It’s just a small shop run by the locals. It is right at the entrance of Pindi Kitchen(beside Cafe Ilaka)
8. Big Daddy’s Shawarma & more
Big Daddy Shawarma is my go-to comfort food spot in Bir. The shawarmas are genuinely good, and for the vegetarians, you can also try the veg falafel bowl. It’s not a fancy place with views, which is why some of you may not pick it, but the taste is 10/10. They also have a section for dessert,s and I have heard great things about their Tiramisu cake.
Price for two: ₹400 – ₹600
Location: Bir Colony, Chaugan
Things to try at Big Daddy Shawarma: Peri peri fries, Shawarma(any), Falafel bowl, Tiramisu cake
Timings: 11 am – 11 pm
9. Siddu Point Fast Food

A trip to Bir is incomplete if you haven’t tried the authentic Himachali dish – siddu. Bir has plenty of cafes, but my favorite place to enjoy this dish is a small stall in Upper Bir with a stunning view.
A lovely local couple has been selling siddu and a lot of other fast food here. You can even come here hiking, sit by flowing water, and have the amazing siddu, can’t get any better!
Price for two: ₹100 – ₹300
Location: Bir Rd, near Bir Nala Bridge, Bir, Bir Khas
Things to try at Siddu Point: Siddu, Maggi
Timings: 9 am – 7 pm

10. Pahadee Coffee Roasters

As the name suggests, Pahadee Coffee Roasters is the place for coffee lovers in Bir. Though they do serve some great food, the majority of the time, all I tried was their coffee! The place has a great ambiance and is very close to the Chaugan Chowk. It also has a co-working space, making it a great place for people to work from or who are digital nomads.
Price for two: ₹400 – ₹600
Location: Tibetan Colony Road, Chaugan, near Chaugan Chauk
Things to try at Pahadee Coffee Roasters: Coffee(obviously), Hummus and Pita, Nasi Goreng, Cakes
Timings: 9 am – 6 pm (Closed on Thursday)

11. Garden Cafe

Garden Cafe, while it is located a little away from the landing site, has a quiet atmosphere. You can either sit inside or in the little garden they have created. They serve some really good salads and fresh juices. While their pizzas and wraps are great too, you do not want to miss out on the garden’s special pancake. I bet you can’t finish one by yourself.
Price for two: ₹300 – ₹500
Location: House No 79 Dege Division, Bir Colony, Chaugan
Things to try at Garden Cafe: Pancake, Salad Bowl, Mango Shake, Pizza
Timings: 8 am – 8:30 pm (Closed on Wednesday)
Pet friendly: Yes
12. Woe Sang Cafe

Woe Sang Cafe is a newer spot right in the middle of Bir colony, and it instantly stands out with an all-white building. The ambience looks really nice and calm. I really liked their momos, the noodles, and especially the ginger lemon hone, which feels perfect for winters in Bir. But in general, all sorts of fast food and Tibetan food are worth trying there.
Price for two: ₹400 – ₹600
Location: Bir Colony, Chaugan
Things to try at Garden Cafe: Ginger lemon honey, French fries, Noodles, Momo(Chicken, Mutton), Tibetan food
Timings: 8:30 am – 10:30 pm
13. Cafe Roam Wild
The biggest issue in Bir is that all the cafes and restaurants start to close by 10:30-11 pm. But there are still a handful that are still open, and Cafe Roam Wild has to be the best spot for your midnight cravings! I’ve tried everything here, from starters to full meals, and it all tastes absolutely delicious. Don’t miss out on their brownies!
And if you’re lucky, you might find this place open even at 2 am
Price for two: ₹400 – ₹700
Location: Landing site, Bir, Suja
Things to try at Cafe Roam Wild: Peri Peri Fries, Kadhai Chicken, Salad Bowls
Timings: 12 pm – 1:30 am
Pet friendly: Yes
14. Himalayan Pizza
Himalayan Pizza has to be the most lively place in Bir; they have live music almost every day. You should rush after watching the beautiful sunset here because there are chances you might not find a table, as it is right next to the landing site. I have tried their pizza multiple times and have always liked it, though the service might be a little slow.
Price for two: ₹500 – ₹800
Location: Beside Govt Parking, Main, Bir Colony Rd, Bir, Suja
Things to try at Himalayan Pizza: Pizza, Peri peri fries
Timings: 10 am – 11 pm
15. Musafir Cafe
On a cold winter evening, all you want is a hot chocolate! What’s special about Musafir Cafe is that they don’t serve hot chocolate; they serve molten chocolate! If you are a chocolate lover, you might have just found your heaven. You can even have it with marshmallows!
Another dish that you can not miss here is the chicken cheese paratha! They don’t have a lot of seating, but the ambiance is great!
Price for two: ₹300 – ₹600
Location: Musafir Cafe, near Landing Site, Bir, Suja
Things to try at Musafir Cafe: Chicken Cheese Paratha, Hot Chocolate
Timings: 9:30 am – 9 pm
Pet friendly: Yes
16. Northern Cafe
Sitting in a cozy mudhouse surrounded by paddy fields, you can see the gliders landing and the beautiful sunset of Bir unfolding right in front of your eyes. The ambiance is so amazing, and if you get a spot during the sunset, you’re going to have a fabulous evening.
The food is great, and you absolutely must try the Himachali siddu here.
17. Avva’s Specialty South Indian Cafe
Many of you might have wondered why I didn’t include the only South Indian cafe in Bir on my list. Being from Bangalore, I wouldn’t pay ₹250 for a plate of idlis and dosas. I’ve tried this place a couple of times, and the taste was just okay—probably because I’m used to enjoying South Indian meals at some truly amazing places
I understand that not everyone visiting is from the South like me. For those from North India who don’t often get to enjoy authentic South Indian food, this place is definitely worth a visit to satisfy your cravings for South Indian cuisine.
Price for two: ₹400 – ₹700
Location: Bir Colony Rd, Suja
Timings: 9 am – 6:30 pm (Closed on Wednesday)
Pet friendly: Yes
18. Charlie’s Cafe & Cafe Buransh
The last two cafes on the list are Charlie’s Cafe and Cafe Buransh. The majority of the time, all I tried were their beverages after the tiring paragliding sessions. Both these cafes are right on the landing site
Both cafes are open every day, and I tried their beverages, so I can’t really recommend other things!
Price for two: ₹400 – ₹700
Location: Above 150m, Bir Colony Rd, Bir
Things to try at Northern Cafe: Siddu, Pasta, Sandwich

19. Cho Cho’s Cafe(Temporarily closed for maintaenance)

If you’re looking for homely food at affordable prices, be it paranthas, rajma chawal, pao bhaji, or misal pav, you’ll find everything here. This was our go-to spot after our paragliding flights or catching up with friends for dinner. The uncle and aunty are from Delhi and have been running the place for the last four years.
